The Lord Our Shepherd

The Lord is my shepherd:

I have everything I need.

He lets me rest in fields of green gress

and leads me to quiet pools of fresh water.

He gives me new strength.

He guides me in the right paths,as he has promised.

Even if I go through the deepest darkness,

I will not be afraid,LORD,for you are with me.

Your shepherd's rod and staff protect me.

You prepare a banquet for me,

where all my enemies can see me;

you welcome me as an honoured guest

and fill my cup to the brim.

I know that your goodness

and love will be with me all my life;

and your house will be my house as long as I live.

上主是我的牧者;

縱使我走過死陰的幽谷,我也不怕災害;

當著我的敵人,你為我擺設盛筵;

我一生將享受你的恩惠和不變的愛;

Psalms

A prayer for Guidance and Protection

To you,O Lord, I offer my prayer;

in you,my God, I trust.

Save me from the shame of defect;

don't let my enemies gloat over me!

Defect does not come to those who trust in you,

but to those who are quick to rebel against you.

Teach me your ways,O Lord;

make them known to me.

Teach me to live according to your truth,

for you are my God,who saves me.

I always trust in you.

上主啊,我向你獻上禱告;

信靠你的人不至於失敗;

Psalms

Teach me,Lord,what you want me to do,

and lead me along a safe path,

because I have many enemies.

Don't abandon me to my enemies,

who attack me with lies and threats.

I know I will live to see

the LORD's goodness in this present life.

Trust in the LORD.

Have faith,do not despair.

Trust in the LORD.

上主啊,求你指引我該走的道路;

他們用謊言攻擊我,恐嚇我;

Amen !

Psalms

88619Saturday night

Keep your lives free from the love of money,

and be satisfied with what you have.

For God has said,"I will never leave you:

I will never abandon you."

Let us be bold,then,and say,

"the Lord is my helper,

I will not be afraid.

What can anyone do to me?"

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday ,today,and for ever.

Do not let all kinds of strange teachings lend you from the right way.

It is good to receive inner strength from God's grace,

and not by obeying rules about foods;

those who obey these rules have net been helped by them.

不要倚靠食物的規例;

Does anyone think he is religious?

If he does not control his tongue,his religion is worthlrss

and he deceives hinself.

Remember this,my dear brothers!

Everyone must be quick to listen,but slow to speak and slow to become angry.

Man's anger does not achieve God's rightous purpose.

My brothers,consider yourselves fortunate when all kinds of trials

come your way,for you know that when your faith succeeds in facing such trials,

the result is the ability to endure.

Make sure that your endurance carries you all the way without failing,

so that you may be perfect and complete,lacking nothing.

But if any of you lacks wisdom,he should pray to God,who will give it to him;

because God gives generously to all.

If someone has done you wrong,do not repay him with a wrong.Try to do what everyone consider to be good.

Do everything possible on your part to live in peace with everybody.

Never take revenge,my friends,but in instead let God's anger do it.For the scripture says,"I will take revenge,I will pay back,says the Lord."

Instead,as the scripture says:"If your enemy is hungry,feed him;if he is thirsty,give him a drink; for by doing this you will make him burn with shame."

Do not let evil defect you ; instead,conquer evil with good.

Dear friends,let us love one another,because love comes from God.

Whoever loves is a child of God and knows God.Whoever does not love does not know God,

for God is love.

And God showed his love for us by sending his only Son into the world,so that we might have life through him.

This is what love is:

it is not that we have loved God,but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the means by which our sins are forgiven.

上帝差祂的獨子到世上來,使我們藉著他得到生命;

Dear friends,if this is how God loved us,then we should love one another.

No one has ever seen God,but if we love one another God lives in union with us,

and his love is made perfect in us.

Amen !

We love because God first loved us !
