88.8.21.
Jesus the Bread of Life
" I am the bread of life , " Jesus told them .
He who comes to me will never be hungry ;
he who believes in me will never be thirsty .
Now , I told you that you have seen me but will not believe .
Everyone whom my Father gives me will come to me .
I will never turn away anyone who come to me .,
because I have come down from heaven to do
not my own will but the will of him who sent me .
And it is the will of him who sent me that
I should not lose any of all those he has given me ,
but that I should raise them all to life on the last day .
For what my Father wants is that
all who see the Son and believe in him
should have eternal life .
And I will raise them to life on the last day ."
--John 6:35-40
耶穌是生命的糧食
耶穌對他們說：「我就是生命的糧食；
到我這裡來的，永遠不餓；
信我的，永遠不渴。
但是我對你們說過，你們已經看見了我，

Jesus the Way to the Father
Jesus answered ," I am the way , the truth , and the life ;
no one goes to the Father except by me .
Now that you have known me," he said to them ,
you will know my Father also ,
and from now on you do know him and you have seen him ."
Philip said to him , "Lord , show us the Father ; that is all we need ."
Jesus answered ,"For a long time I have been with you all ;
yet you do not know me , Philip ?
that I am in the Father and the Father is in me ?
The words that I have spoken to you ,"
Jesus said to his disciples ,
"do not come from me .
The Father , who remains in me , does his own work .
Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me .
If not , believe because of the things I do .
I am telling you the truth :
Whoever believes in me will do what I do -
yes , he will do even greater things ,
because I am going to the Father .
And I will do whatever you ask for in my name ,
so that the Father's glory will be shown through the Son .
If you ask me for anything in my name ,
I will do it .

耶穌是道路、真理、生命
耶穌說：「我就是道路、真理、生命；
要不是藉著我，沒有人能到父親那裡去。
你們既然認識我，你們也會認識我父親的。
從此，你們認識他，你們已經看見他了。」
腓力對耶穌說：「主啊，把父親顯示給我們，我們就滿足了。」
耶穌回答：「腓力，我跟你們在一起已經這麼久了，
你還不認識我嗎？
誰看見我，就是看見父親。
為什麼你還說『把父親顯示給我們』呢？
我在父親的生命裡，父親在我的生命裡，
你不信嗎？
我對你們說的話不是出於我自己，
而是在我生命裏的父親親自做他的工作。
你們要信我，我在父親的生命裏，
父親在我的生命裏；
如果你不信這話，也要因我的工作而信。
我鄭重地告訴你們，信我的人也會做我所做的事，
甚至要做更大的；因為我到父親那裏去。
你們奉我的名，無論求什麼，我一定成全，
為要使父親的榮耀藉著兒子顯示出來。
你們奉我的名，
無論向我求什麼，我一定成全。」

The Word of Life
Before the world was created , the Word already existed ;
he was with God ,
and he was the same as God.
From the very beginning the Word was with God .
Through him God made all things ;
not one thing in all creation was made without him.
The Word was the sourse of life ,
and this life brought light to mankind .
The light shines in the darkness ,
and the darkness has never put it out .
--John 1:1-5
生命之道
宇宙被造之前，道已經存在。
道與上帝同在；道是上帝。
在太初，道就與上帝同在。
上帝藉著他創造萬有；
在整個創造中，
沒有一樣不是藉著他造的。
道就是生命的根源，

The Word was in the world ,
and though God made the world through him ,
yet the world did not recognize him .
He came to his own country ,
but his own people did not receive him .
Some ,however , did receive him and believe in him ;
so he gave them the right to become God's children .
They did not become God's children by natural means ,
that is , by being born as the children of a human father;
God himself was their Father.

道在世上，

For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son ,
so that everyone who believes in him may not die
but have eternal life .
For God did not send his Son into the world to be its judge ,
but to be its saviour .

88.8.8 Father's Day
A Prayer for Protection from Enemies
Save me by your power, O God;
set me free by your might !
Hear my prayer, O God ;
listen to my words !
Proud men are coming to attack me;
cruel men are trying to kill me-
men who do not care about God.
But God is my helper.
The Lord is my defender.
May God use their own evil to punish my enemies.
He will destroy them because he is faithful.
I will gladly offer you a sacrifice, O LORD;
I will give you thanks
because you are good.
You have rescued me from all my troubles,
and I have seen my enemies defeated.

祈求保護
上帝啊，求你憑你的權力救我；
求你用你的大能為我伸冤。
上帝啊，求你聽我的禱告；
求你垂聽我的話。
驕傲的人前來攻擊我；
冷酷的人想殺害我。
他們都是眼中沒有上帝的人。
我知道上帝是我的幫助；
主是我生命的保護者。
願上帝按照我敵人的惡行報應他們；
他要憑著自己的信實消滅他們。
上主啊，我要歡歡喜喜地向你獻祭；
我要感謝你，因為你至善。
你救我脫離了一切患難；

God the Protector of His People
What if the LORD had not been on our side ?
Answer , O Israel !
"If the LORD had not been on our side
when our enemies attacked us ,
then they would have swallowed us alive
in their furious anger against us ;
then the flood would have carries us away ,
the water would would have covered us ,
the raging torrent would have drowned us ."
Let us thank the LORD ,
who has not let our enemies destroy us .
We have escaped like a bird from a hunter's trap ;
the trap is broken , and we are free !
Our help comes from the LORD ,
who made heaven and earth.

拯救者上帝
以色列啊，你說吧！
要不是上主幫助我們，會怎樣呢？
要不是上主幫助我們，
那麼，仇敵攻擊我們、
向我們發烈怒的時候，
早已活生生地把我們吞下去；
洪水早已捲走了我們，
浪潮早已淹沒了我們，
急流也早已把我們沖走了！
我們要感謝上主，
因他沒有讓仇敵毀滅我們。
我們像鳥兒掙脫獵人的羅網；
羅網破裂，我們得到自由！

88.8.1
The LORD guides a man in the way he should go
and protects those who please him.
If they fall, they will not stay down,
because the LORD will help them up.
I am an old man now ; I have never seen a good man
abandoned by the LORD.
or his children begging for food.
At all time he gives freely and lends to others,
and his children are a blessing.
Turn away from evil and do good,
and your descendants will always live in the land;
for the LORD loves what is right.
and does not abandon his faithful people.
He protects them for ever,
but the descendants of the wicked will be driven out.
The rightous will possess the land and live in it for ever.
A good man's words are wise,
and he is always fair.
He keeps the law of his God in his heart and never departs from it.
A wicked man watches a good man
and tries to kill him;
but the LORD will not abandon him to his enemy's power
or let him be condemned when he is on trial.
Put your hope in the LORD and obey his commands;
he will honour youu by giving you the land,
and you will see the wicked driven out.

上主引導人走該走的路，
保護順服他的人的腳步。
他失足，也不至於爬不起來，
因為上主要扶他起來。
我已經老了；我看得多了，
但從未見過義人被上主遺棄，

作惡的人窺伺義人，
找機會要殺害他；
但上主不撇下他，不使他落在仇敵手中，
也不使他在審判時被定罪。
要仰望上主，遵守他的命令，
他就會賜你力量，保有那片土地；
你且要看作惡的人被趕出去。

Creat a pure heart in me, O God.
and put a new and loyal spirit in me.
Do not banish me from your presence;
do not take your holy spirit away from me.
Give me again the joy that comes from your salvation,
and make me willing to obey you.
Then I will teach sinners your commands,
and they will turn back to you.

上帝啊，求你為我造一顆純潔的心；
求你賜給我一個又新又忠誠的靈。
